Northwind is a four-person design studio working with founders and creative directors to build identities, websites, and product systems that age well.
Logo, type, color, voice. The whole system, designed to last decades.
Marketing sites and product pages, hand-coded, fast and beautiful.
Books, magazines, annual reports, anything where typography is the hero.
Bottles, boxes, labels, design that matters in your hand, not just on screen.
We start with a long, recorded conversation about the company, what it is, who it's for, and what it's tired of looking like. Two to three weeks of listening before we ever open Figma.
Three written directions, each a different reading of the brand. We argue, narrow, and pick one. Sometimes we kill all three and start again.
The whole system, identity, web, print, packaging, designed in parallel by the same hands. No handoffs, no agencies-of-record, no decks.
We stay on retainer for the first year. Iteration, refinement, the small stuff. The brand starts to feel like itself.
"They built us a brand we'd actually grow into, not a logo we'd outgrow in a year."
