STRUCTURE is a practice of fourteen architects designing residential and cultural buildings across North America. We work slowly, in small teams, with materials we can name.

A four-bedroom retreat carved into the Big Sur hillside. The house is built around a single existing oak we refused to lose, and finished in board-formed concrete and reclaimed cedar.
Awarded the AIA Honor Award for Residential Architecture, 2025. Photographed by Iwan Baan, published in Domus.
We don't bring designs to land. We let the land draw the design.
Wood, stone, plaster, glass. Things that age legibly and can be repaired.

We take on four to six projects a year. Submissions are reviewed quarterly.
